PROTEIN COOKIE DOUGH DATE BARK
This is our take on the viral date bark... And it's even better than the original. A gooey layer of dates at the bottom, covered with a thick layer of protein cookie dough, and topped off with melted dark chocolate and sea salt : a recipe for success!
Ingredients
- 16 medjool dates
- 1 cup dark chocolate, melted
- Sea salt
- 2 scoops Smooth Vanilla Whey protein powder
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/3 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup greek yoghurt
- 1/3 cup milk of choice
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Chocolate chips to taste
Preparation
- Cut the dates in half and pit them. Flatten the dates on a sheet of parchment paper, cover them with another sheet and roll them flat using a rolling pin ;
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the cookie dough. Once combined, spread the dough evenly on the dates ;
- Add a layer of dark chocolate, sprinkle sea salt on top, and place in the freezer for at least one hour ;
- Cut into desired sized pieces and store in the fridge or freezer.
