MINI PROTEIN APPLE PIES
This unique recipe is such a fun treat to try and recreate for yourself! These little Protein Apple Pie are much simpler to make than they seem, and they feel like mini surprise balls everytime.
To make these, you will need a couple basic ingredients as well as our Maple Brown Sugar or Smooth Vanilla Isolate protein.
Ingredients (6 mini pies)
Apple pie filling
- 1 large apple, chopped
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp stevia
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Dough
- 2 scoops Maple Brown Sugar Isolate protein
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup oat flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp stevia
- 1/2 cup greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F ;
- Start by preparing the apple filling by putting all the ingredients in a small skillet and bringing to medium heat ;
- Bring to a boil and mix until the apples are soft. Save for later ;
- Prepare the dough. Start by mixing all the ingredients, except the yoghurt and almond milk ;
- Add the yoghurt and almond milk and mix until you get a dough consistency ;
- Grease a muffin tin OR use silicone muffin molds. Seperate the dough in 6 equal parts, flatten it and put about 1 tbsp of apple filling on the flattened piece of dough. Fold over to make a ball and place in the muffin mold ;
- Bake for 30-35 minutes ;
- Let cool and enjoy!
